Mobil 1 is a synthetic motor oil brand and other automotive lubrication products. Originally developed by Mobil oil company, and now marketed globally and sold by ExxonMobil.
Engine oil Mobil 1 was introduced in 1974. The brand range now includes a variety of engine oil, oil filter, chassis grease, transmission fluid, and gear lubricant.

Car 1 is official motor oil recommended Porsche, Toyota, Lexus, Daihatsu, Hino, Chevrolet (mostly Corvette), Cadillac, Buick, Holden, Bentley, Mercedes-Benz (before 2015, most models of Mercedes-AMG, currently switched to Petronas from 2016) and Perodua for cars, as well as Honda for cars and motorcycles.

The Formula One Williams team had a Car sponsor from 1978 to 1988. In 1987 it switched to Benetton, until 1992. The Lotus team also used Mobil 1 in 1994. From 1995 to 2016, it sponsored McLaren. Mobil 1 is also a lubricant supplier for the Toyota F1 team from 2002 to 2009, Brawn GP in 2009 and also Force India from 2009 to 2013. In 2017, Mobil 1 switched to Red Bull Racing and its twin team, Scuderia Toro Rosso.
The NASCAR Cup Series Rusty Wallace racer is sponsored by Car from 1987. In 1991, he brought his sponsor to Penske Racing. Jeremy Mayfield owns Cars as a major sponsor in 1998, and then Ryan Newman and Sam Hornish Jr. take it as well. Operation IndyCar Penske also has a Car sponsor from 1991, until the deal ends after the 2010 season. Since 2011, Tony Stewart has brought Car 1 sponsorship in his 14 Stewart-Haas racing car. The NASCAR team powered by Toyota Racing Development also uses Mobil oil. They are currently sponsoring all four of the Stewart-Haas Racing Ford Clint Bowyers, Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch and Danica Patrick.
The car is a lubricant supplier of the Mercedes-AMG DTM team from 1995 to 2010. It supports Porsche and Corvette sports car programs as a lubricant provider since 1996. Bentley Continental GT3 factory car is also sponsored by Mobil 1 since 2013.
Mobil 1 currently sponsors the Lexus-backed 3GT Racing since the 2017 season.
The car, from 1985 to 1993, was the main sponsor of Holding Dealer Team Peter Brock and Advantage Racing who competed in the Australian Touring Car Championships and at the 1986 European Touring Car Championship. Brock from 1985 until his death in 2006, appeared in advertisements for Mobil 1 , including an international campaign that took place in the United States in 2000. Since 1994, Mobil has been a sponsor of Walkinshaw Supercars team Andretti United.
As well as the sponsorship team, the brand sponsored the German Grand Prix from 1987 to 2006 and the French Grand Prix from 1998 to 2004 [1]. Since 2003 Mobil 1 has been the official sponsor of NASCAR and has sponsored the Command Performance Award, which pays the cash bonus to the team that uses Mobil 1 with the highest finish. Since 2002, has been the title sponsor of 12 Jam Sebring. Since 2008, has been the title sponsor of Porsche Supercup.
In 2001, Mobil 1 became the main jersey sponsor of the French football club Ligue 1 Sochaux, founded and owned by the Peugeot car manufacturer based in Montbà © à © liard. Sochaux has been changing in recent seasons between wearing Esso's partner brands and Mobil 1 on their shirt chests, supporting the latter for their 2012-13 Ligue 1 campaign.
