Ayer Shwe Wah Company (Burma: Htoo Group of Companies This company was the first private company allowed to export Burmese rice to Bangladesh and Singapore in 2005. Its headquarters are located in Kotapraja Materials, Yangon Ayer Shwe Wah CEO, Aung Thet Mann, is the son of Shwe Mann, a former military general and is currently Speaker of the Pyithu Hluttaw.
The company has been approved by the United States government since 18 October 2007 for its relationship with the ruling military junta, the Council of Peace and the State Development. On May 15, 2010, he won a license to operate a gas station in Myanmar, as part of the Ministry of Energy's privatization effort.
When Shwe Mann was the Regional Commander in the Ayeyarwady Division, Ayer Shwe Wah received a favorable government contract to supply fertilizer to farmers across the delta. The Company also received 30,000 hectares of land for development under the Government's Low Development Program. It has been returned with all dues and taxes paid.
Ayer Shwe Wah has also been involved in a construction project in Naypyidaw.
