The United States Petroleum Fund was established in April 2006 by the Victoria Bay Asset Management, now known as the US Commodity Fund, and the US Stock Exchange. The fund opened on the first day of trading around $ 70 per share. In early 2007, it cost about $ 50 per share. In mid 2008, it reached $ 119 per share.
